Calculate Langmuir Isotherm Parameters

About Langmuir Isotherm

The Langmuir isotherm describes the adsorption of molecules onto a solid surface. It assumes monolayer adsorption on a homogeneous surface with no interaction between adsorbed molecules.

q = (qₘ × K × C) / (1 + K × C)

Where:

  • q = Amount adsorbed per unit mass of adsorbent
  • qₘ = Maximum adsorption capacity
  • K = Langmuir constant (affinity parameter)
  • C = Equilibrium concentration

The Langmuir isotherm is widely used in environmental engineering, catalysis, and separation processes.
